Instead of "My Love is Blue" this love is ultramarine. Which is a blue but a fancier name than just plain ol' BLUE. This piece is created on gallery wrapped canvas, includes oil paint, acrylics, mirrors, tiles, glitter! Therefore I have to call it mixed media. Even though primarily it is an oil painting. There is excitement throughout this piece, the oil paint in the heart is very thick, and is not just Ultramarine blue but 4 other colors of blues as well. Then as a final touch which results a party full of fun I add blue and silver glitter! I know, I know, there is that taboo on glitter but I do not care. The background is a beautiful geometric pattern with many colors to experience. The mirrors and tiles add another dimension to this very engaging work of art.
